Lighting is the largest portion of a business’ energy bill. On the average, interior lighting accounts for 43 percent of a company's energy consumption. However, with advanced lighting technologies, there has never been a better time to upgrade the lighting in your facility, building or institution. 

High-efficiency upgrades can save you energy and money, while improving the light quality and output in your buildings.  In many lighting upgrades, you can expect to see a payback on the investment within approximately 12 months.

CPS Energy offers a Small Commercial Lighting Rebate to encourage small businesses to replace old, inefficient equipment with new, qualifying energy-efficient lighting equipment.

This measure is designed for facilities with 50-or-less fixtures.  If 50 fixtures are exceeded, seek a rebate through our Large Commercial Lighting Rebate Program.

This rebate only applies to building improvement or retrofit projects. It is not available for new construction projects.

Thinking about retrofitting your lights? Try City Lights. The City Lights Program is designed by the City of San Antonio for CPS Energy commercial customers in good standing on their utility account. It provides a zero-interest loan for up to $3,000.00 for lighting upgrades to reduce electricity usage at an eligible customer’s location.
