For the safety of your loved ones and our crews, help keep CPS Energy green transformer boxes clear of structures or vegetation. State law requires customers to provide clear and unobstructed access to our utility facilities and equipment.

• Don’t plant shrubs, trees, or flowers around the green transformer boxes.
• Never build structures or anything near or around them.
• If possible, trim back any brush away from the box to provide 8 ft. of clearance around it.
• Tell your family and neighbors that transformer boxes contain high-voltage equipment they should never go near.
• Keep a clear pathway for CPS Energy to remove, repair, replace and/or operate our facilities or equipment as needed.

Please remember that CPS Energy is required to remove any obstructions that can prevent repairs, maintenance, or operation of our equipment. Customers are responsible for any costs associated with removal.
