Harlandale to Sommers

COMMITMENT TO RELIABLE SERVICE

As part of our commitment to deliver reliable service, we routinely evaluate our system and perform needed maintenance or updates.

SCOPE OF PORJECT

We are planning to rebuild an existing triple circuit 138 kV transmission line between the Harlandale and Sommers Substations. The project is separated into five segments. Segment two is approximately 3.5 miles. The transmission line starts near the intersection of Moursund Boulevard and SW LOOP 410 and parallels the north side of LOOP 410 east to Villamain Road. The project will involve a complete rebuild of the transmission line including foundations, transmission structures (poles) and electrical wires. We plan to replace the transmission line along the existing route. However, there will be a change in the type of structures - replacing approximately 30 lattice structures with steel poles.

ESTIMATED TIMELINE

The project is scheduled for completion in June 2017.
