The Casa Verde Weatherization Program helps homeowners and renters save energy and money with free home upgrades. Things to know before you get started:
How do I apply?
- The program is free for homeowners and renters who meet the income rules.
- Your home must meet the program requirements.
- Someone 18 years or older must be at home while workers or CPS Energy staff are there.
How do I qualify?
This is a free program for income-qualified homeowners and renters.
1. A Casa Verde application will need to be filled out and submitted to CPS Energy.
- Your family will qualify if you are under the income rules.
- If you are over the income rules, we will review your application and your energy usage to measure your energy load.
- If your energy burden is 9.9% or more of your pay, you can still qualify.
- If you are a renter, a signed landlord form from the owner of the home will be needed.
2. Your home must meet program minimum guidelines.
- If your application is approved, an approved CPS Energy representative will contact you to schedule a free assessment of your home.

Free energy upgrades that can help you save energy and money all year might include:
- Attic insulation
- Wall insulation
- Air-sealing measures
- Replacement of standard light bulbs with LEDs
- Duct sealing
- Solar screens
- Health and safety items
