Road Closures and Infrastructure Projects


Upcoming Road Closures

To maintain the overall health of our infrastructure and utility system, we have to occasionally close roads to perform upgrades, maintenance and replacements.   The road closures below are scheduled but on occasion, we are forced to close roads to make unscheduled repairs to our equipment.

The below schedule and timeline are subject to change.  Thank you for your patience as we work to provide you with safe and reliable electric and gas service.


NEW LAW:  CPS Energy reminds you as of September 1, 2019, the Move Over Slow Down law now includes the requirement to move over or slow down for utility vehicles with flashing lights.  Help keep our crews safe.

  • Time:     3:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Location: Two locations
    • HWY 151 E. of Loop 410
    • Loop 410 at Military Drive
  • Scope of Work: CPS Energy Overhead crews will be removing and transferring overhead primary wire at two different locations.
  • Traffic Control: Two phases
    • During Phase 1, the access roads east of loop 410 will be closed and three (3) rolling stops will be conducted to safely remove wires. 
    • During Phase 2, all right hand lanes of the access roads will be closed on both sides of loop 410 in both directions and four (4) rolling stops will be performed to safely move wires. 
    • Information signs about the lanes closures will be placed in the area today, May 29th at 12 PM

Planned Outages

Our community continues to grow. As it does, we're enhancing and adding new infrastructure as well as updating and improving current infrastructures. This helps ensure safe, reliable gas and electric service for existing and future customers.
